I bought this guitar and it is very nicely done. I can’t say why, but it doesn’t look that bad in person (except the red pickups). It plays nicely and has a great sound. The body is also very thin and comfortable. I don’t know how many they made, but mine is number 14.

I honestly think it doesn’t look too bad. I think that people aren’t giving it a chance, and are overreacting. It’s nice to vary in new guitars, for a change. OK, it might cost a lot more than it’s worth (and to be honest, I’m not too keen on the pick-ups) but people should give a chance before judging. It is a nice guitar!

I expressed similar views on the Gibson Eye with mixed feelings about its design, and I was also surprised at the reactions on the Gibson forum. It screams "collectibility" and yet I wouldn't put that much money into it. But if an upcoming band picked one up to set itself apart, it could become an icon. By the way, as always it retails far below the RRP ($1,299 @ GC)

It’s not that bad a design. The scratchplate leaves a lot to be desired, and the red pickups look just odd, but otherwise…
